Renovation of a mixed-use development in Buffalo, New York. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility; municipal facility; and parking garage.
As of October 31, 2024, this RFP is under evaluation. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Department of Public Works (DPW) plays a major role in connecting neighborhoods and keeping all elements of the City functioning properly. DPW is responsible for maintenance of the Citys infrastructure, collection, and disposal of residential solid waste, and for snow removal from city streets and facilities. The department is comprised of the following divisions: Administration, Engineering (Civil, Environmental, Traffic and Construction Inspection), Fleet Services, Solid Waste Collection (Garbage/Recycling), Operations (Streets, Sidewalks), Building Services, Division of Water, and Parks and Recreation. The City of Buffalo (City) is issuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to establish a combined DPW Campus. It is the preference of this request that the DPW Campus include the consolidation of the following off-site locations to one combined site: Broadway Depot (Maintenance, Streets & Sanitation) Mechanical Services Engineering Parking Department Mayor Impact Team All questions or inquiries regarding the RFQ must be submitted in writing to Hope Young-Watkins at hyoung-watkins@buffalony.gov. Questions and inquiries will be accepted from all interested parties until Friday, May 20,2022 at 5:00p.m. EST. No responses will be provided for questions and inquiries received after this time. Questions received from all Respondents will be answered and shared with all Respondents via the Citys website by 5:00pm EST Wednesday, May 25, 2022 Deadline for Questions: Friday, May 20, 2022 at 5:00 pm EST Answers Posted to Website: Wednesday, May 25, 2022 by 5:00 pm EST The City reserves the right to seek additional information from respondents and related entities. All decisions related to this RFQ are subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and the policies and procedures of the City of Buffalo. All costs associated with the preparation of the proposal, as well as any other related materials, will be borne by the respondent. The determination for eligibility for various incentive programs is the responsibility of the developer or development team The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time
