Contractor will demolish existing laboratories and build new general laboratory space, procedure rooms, and tissue culture rooms Prequalification questionnaires will be accepted from contractors possessing current and active General Building Contractor (B) license to construct this project. ESTIMATED CONTRACT TIME: 182 Days ESTIMATED CONSTRUCTION COST: $2,500,000 PROCEDURES: Prequalification questionnaires will be available electronically at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 2, 2022 from UCI Design & Construction Services. Prequalification questionnaires must be received via email to maggieht@uci.edu by 5:00 PM on Wednesday, June 1, 2022. To prequalify, Contractors must agree to comply with all conditions including state prevailing wages, 10% bid bond, 100% payment and performance bonds, and insurance requirements. The successful Contractor will hold a current and active General Building Contractor (B) license. Every effort will be made to ensure that all persons have equal access to contracts and other business opportunities with the University within the limits imposed by law or University policy. Each Bidder may be required to show evidence of its equal employment opportunity policy. The successful bidder and its subcontractors will be required to follow the nondiscrimination requirements set forth in the bid documents and to pay prevailing wage rates at the location of the work.
