Renovation of a municipal facility in Amherst, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The contractor must have a minimum of five years experience with repointing historic masonry buildings in order to bid on this project. The Town of Amherst, as Awarding Authority, invites written quotations for the procurement of masonry service at Amherst Town Hall. Amherst Town Hall- 4 Boltwood Avenue, Amherst MA 01002 The Project includes repointing to masonry joints, and all other work indicated in this document. The Contractor shall provide all work required for repointing the areas identified by the Town; Refer to Drawings. The Contractor shall repoint the masonry joints with joint profiles, color, and mortar composition to matching the original. Included in the bid documents is the laboratory report from June 29, 2007 for mortar analysis. The Contractor is responsible for using the information from the report to provide the most accurate mortar match
