General Description of Work: The project location is the Cruger Ave./Darst St. intersection located within the City of Eureka. Work consists of complete intersection reconstruction including pavement, curb and gutter, sidewalk, storm sewer, inlets, and other collateral work. All questions shall be directed to Shane Larson at slarson@hutchisoneng.com and received no later than May 12, 2022 at 4:00 PM. All questions shall be answered by issuing addenda no later than May 13, 2022 at 4:00 PM. If the Successful Bidder fails to execute and file an Agreement, Bonds, and Insurance as required in the Bid Documents, the amount of the security submitted with the Bid shall be forfeited. Holding of Bids: No Bids shall be withdrawn after the opening of Bids without the consent of the Owner, for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled time of closing Bids. Prevailing Wage: The contractor to whom this award shall be made pursuant to this procurement shall be subject to all applicable to all Federal and State laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Illinois acts commonly known as the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (IL Rev. Stat. Ch. 48, Secs. 2201-2207). The submissions of the proposal or bid by the Offerer in response to the Advertisement for Bids constitutes an acknowledgment of and an agreement by the Offerer that it understands and will comply with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act and the Illinois Preference Act. Bonds: A Contract Bond for payment and performance is required in connection with this procurement. The bond shall specifically provide that the Principal must pay all sums of money due or to become due for any labor in accordance with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (IL Rev. Stat. Ch. 48, Sec. 39(s) -1-12). Award of Contract: The Owner reserves the right to reject any Bid for failure to comply with all requirements of this notice or any of the Bidding Documents, however, it may waive any minor defects or informalities at its discretion. The Owner further reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to award a contract which in its judgment is in the best interest of the Owner.
