Clayton County Public Schools Forest Park Middle School Abatement and Demolition located at 930 Finely Drive, Forest Park, GA 30294 (the “Project”). The proposed scope of work consists of but is not limited to: The abatement and complete demolition of the existing Forest Park Middle School per plans in preparation for the construction of a new facility. Included will be the abatement and disposal of all asbestos materials within the facility, disconnection of existing utilities, the demolition of all existing structures as well as the grading and stabilizing of the site. Only prequalified Bidders can obtain Bidding documents from Clayton County Public Schools by contacting the Construction Department via email address: construction@clayton.k12. ga.us Please include the Project name, Bidder's name, address, phone number and contact person in correspondence to the Construction Department. All anticipated federal, state and local permits required for the Project have not been obtained. Required permits are anticipated on or before December 13, 2022. All rights of way and easements anticipated for the Project have not been obtained. Required rights of way or easements are anticipated on or before December 13, 2022. The Contract, if awarded, will be on a lump sum basis by base bid. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after Bid opening, except as otherwise expressly provided by applicable law. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Base Bid. Both a Performance and a Payment Bond will be required in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive technicalities and informalities. Any person or entity that has not become prequalified to submit a Bid on the Project shall not be permitted to submit a Bid on the Project and any Bid submitted by any person or entity that is not prequalified shall be returned unopened.
