Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Iowa City, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and road / highway.

Proposals will be acted upon by the City Council at a meeting to be held in the Emma J. Harvat Hall at 6:00 P.M. on the 6 th day of June, 2022, or at special meeting called for that purpose. The Project will involve the following Pavement repairs associated with water main breaks on various streets throughout Iowa City. Types of pavement that need repaired include: Portland Cement Concrete (PCC); composite pavement consisting of PCC and Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA); and full depth HMA pavement. Some locations will also require the removal and replacement of driveway, sidewalk, curb ramps, and/or curb and gutter. All work is to be done in strict compliance with the Project Manual prepared by The City of Iowa City, Iowa, which has heretofore been approved by the City Council, and are on file for public examination in the Office of the City Clerk. Specified Start Date: June 20, 2022 Substantial Completion Date: September 30, 2022 Final Completion Date: November 18, 2022 Liquidated Damages: $500 per day after exceeding five (5) working days at a single location or after either of the completion dates The City shall retain the bid security furnished by the successful bidder until the approved contract has been executed, the required Performance, Payment, and Maintenance Bond. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance, Payment, and Maintenance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, and also reserves the right to waive technicalities and irregularities.
