The Duluth Transit Authority is seeking quotes from qualified firms to perform a 1-year inspection of the sprinkler system at the Duluth Transit Authority Operations Center, 2402 West Michigan Street, and Transit Center East, 214 West Superior Street, and , a 1-year inspection and a 5-year internal inspection at the Duluth Transportation Center, 228 West Michigan Street Inspections shall be conducted in accordance with NFPA 25 and State of Minnesota fire codes. A. Duluth Operations Center, 2402 West Michigan Street, Duluth, MN 55806. 1. There are four systems in the Operations Center, three dry systems serving the bus storage area, and one wet system serving the administration offices and maintenance area. All systems are original to the building when it was constructed and have been steadily maintained. No major problems have been found in past inspections. B. Duluth Transportation Center, 228 West Michigan Street, Duluth, MN 55802 1. The Duluth Transportation Center ("DTC") has one wet system for the passenger terminal area, and three dry system legs serving the parking ramp. Contractor must drain all water from the system upon conclusion of the test and return no later than 14 days after the test to verify that the water has been fully drained from the system. The cost of the return visit must be included in the proposed price for the sprinkler inspection services. Please include a price list for any additional services that may be offered, including additional branch line investigations (in the event an obstruction is found), water testing, etc. Contractor shall be responsible to ensure that the low points are fully drained upon completion of the inspection and shall provide a written notice that the system is available for regular operation upon completion. The DTA reserves the right to accept or refuse all quotes in the interest of the DTA.
