Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a civil project in Marlborough Township, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; water / sewer project; bridge / tunnel; and bridge / tunnel.

The project includes the relocation of an existing 10" waterline, the removal of an existing single span adjacent prestressed concrete box beam bridge, the replacement of a 35.5-foot long single span prestressed concrete adjacent box beam bridge on a new cast-in-place concrete substructure, the reconstruction of the approach roadways utilizing Superpave Asphalt Mixture Designs for the base and wearing courses, guiderail replacement and miscellaneous construction items as indicated on the drawings. Total project length is 200 linear feet.BID TYPE Fixed Fee Contract The successful bidder will be required to pay electronically a fee of 1/3% of the contract value award.There is a minimum award fee of $100.00 and a maximum of $5,000.00. Project is to be substantially completed by December 31, 2022. Liquidated damages apply at a rate of $400.00 per calendar day. Proposals shall be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the proposal. Proposals shall be effective for 90 days from the date of opening. The successful low bidder will be required to provide a 100% performance bond or certified check, a 100% payment bond or certified check, a workman's compensation affidavit and a certificate of insurance naming Upper Hanover Township and LTL Consultants as additional insureds, all within 10 days after the contract is awarded. Upper Hanover Township reserves the right to waive any non-material defects or irregularities in the bid, and to reject any or all bids or portions thereof.
