The intent of this Request for Proposal is to establish an agreement to provide Tree Maintenance Services on a non-exclusive basis to the Saint Louis Zoo Campus located at One Government Sr., St. Louis, MO 63110 as a preferred vendor, as required for a term of two (2) years with an option for two (2) additional years. All pricing for the core items are to remain firm for the first two (2) years of the contract, and thereafter are subject to adjustment for each subsequent year upon approval of the authorized representative of the Saint Louis Zoo. The work to be done under this contract shall consist of furnishing all tools, labor, material and equipment necessary to perform tree surgery and apply pesticides and fertilizers according to these specifications and drawings. Work will be directed and scheduled by the Zoo representative. Before work is started, the Contractor shall walk through the site and list work to be performed or scheduled in designated areas or designated trees within the property (any area outside of an exhibit or animal containment area). Work to be performed in an animal exhibit may be executed only after prior scheduling by Zoo representative. The Contractor shall be responsible to notify the Zoo representative or manager 36 hours in advance of any schedule change. All questions must be received by May 18, 2022 for issuing of addendums. All emailed questions and answers will be shared with all responders. The source of the questions will remain anonymous. Addendums will be placed on the Zoo website as they become available: stlzoo.org/vendor. Any oral responses shall be unofficial and not binding on the Zoo.
