For the construction of the Blue Springs Road Sewer Extension Phase 1 The project consists of approximately 5,325 LF of 8" PVC gravity sewer main, 18 associated manholes, 39 gravity sewer or low pressure sewer services, 10,026 LF of PVC force main ranging from 4" to 10", 14 valves, 5 air/vac valves and roadway/driveway directional bores within the right-of-way. On lot services will consist of 2,250 LF of 1 1/2 " HDPE low pressure sewer services, and 5,750 LF of 4" PVC gravity sewer services. There are estimated to be 32 residential service connections which include a gravity or low pressure sewer connection to the existing residence, abandonment of the existing septic tank, septic tank disconnections, and site restoration. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above. Bidding Documents are available as portable document format (PDF) files e-mailed free of charge. Alternatively, printed Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office either via in-person pick-up or via mail, upon Issuing Office's receipt of payment for the Bidding Documents. The non-refundable cost of printed Bidding Documents is $350.00 per set, payable to "Alday-Howell Engineering, Inc.", plus a non-refundable shipping charge. Upon Issuing Office's receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will be sent via the prospective Bidder's delivery method of choice; the shipping charge will depend on the shipping method chosen. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Any questions in regards to the Bid Documents shall be emailed to Nicole Bradley at bradleyn@jacksoncountyfl.gov. The deadline for questions is May 27, 2022. A Performance Bond in the amount of 100% and a Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount of 100% will be required of the successful Bidder. A Bid Bond payable to Jackson County for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid shall be filed with the proposal. The Bid Bond prepared on the forms specified and signed by a Bonding company authorized to do business in the State of Florida. Bidders shall be contractors who are normally engaged in construction and shall be licensed as may be required under existing Federal, State, and County laws. Where licensing by examination by the City of Marianna is required, such licenses shall be obtained prior to bidding. Only bids from qualified Contractors will be considered. No Bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after scheduled time for the receipt of bids.
