Saving Project...

Site work and paving for a road / highway in Spring Arbor, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

This project consists of placing an HMA overlay on Falling Waters Trail. The location of the proposed work in Jackson County is: Falling Waters Trail, starting at Moscow Road and extending for a distance of approximately 4,500 feet west. Refer to the attached Site Map for details and stationing. The proposed work for the Falling Waters Trail will include butt joint milling, HMA wedging, HMA surfacing, and slope restoration. The length of this work is approximately 4,500 feet. Butt Joint Milling - The contractor will be responsible for milling butt joints where the overlay ties into existing pavement. This work will be paid for as Pavt for Butt Joints, Rem, and will be marked by the Engineer. HMA Paving - HMA paving will consist of spot wedging and a 200 lbs/syd wearing surface of HMA, 5EL. The spot wedging will be placed as marked by the Engineer. The wearing surface must be placed in one lift, to a width of ten (10) feet, and sloped as staked by the Engineer. This work will be paid for as HMA, 5EL and will include the spot wedging. Restoration - Following HMA paving, the contractor will be responsible for performing slope restoration along the path on both sides where the overlay was placed, and in other locations that are disturbed during the performance of this project.
