The Jackson County General Government Committee unanimously approved a $111,000 bid from Cross Lake Construction during their Monday, Sept. 9 meeting. The proposed construction work aims to improve erosion conditions and lake access at the Falling Waters Trail and Lime Lake, Parks Director Kyle Lewis said in a letter to committee members. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Falling Waters Trail Erosion Control Project - Lime Lake Area Jackson County Parks is offering a Request For Proposal (RFP) for erosion control methods, water access steps, landscaping and restoration work and concrete pad installation between the Falling Waters Trail and Lime Lake waters' edge that is detailed in project plans contained in the RFP. The project is being funded through Jackson County Parks Department and the Jackson County Parks Association. Scope of services: Jackson County Parks Department is seeking proposals from experienced and qualified Contractors with proven expertise in the scope of work provided. Contractor is expected to supply all necessary labor, equipment, supplies, soils, and permits necessary to complete the project per plans and in a timely and professional manner. Amenities such as tables and benches are not to be included in pricing. Materials and installation will be the responsibility of JCP. Installation of erosion control methods, as well as water access steps, per plans. Landscaping and installation of native plantings and restoration work per plans. Installation of sheet piling and steps per plans. Prep and pouring of concrete pads per plans and spec sheets. Please see detailed plans for specific information. All work is to be in accordance with Jackson County Health Department (JCHD) and Environmental, Great Lakes and Energy (EGLE) regulations and permitting. JCP is responsible for necessary EGLE permitting. Contractor will be responsible for all other necessary permits, including, but not limited to, soil erosion permitting, through Jackson County and all associated costs of permitting and requirements. All work shall be completed in entirety by November 27, 2024. Note: Contractor is responsible for verification of measurements and quantities prior to bid submission. *Optional, but highly encouraged pre-bid meeting. July 31, 2024 8:00AM.
