The work includes providing Consulting Engineering Services for a variety of capital and operations and maintenance facility projects as outlined in this RFP. The work includes, but may not be limited to, civil, traffic, survey, hydraulic, structural, geotechnical, environmental, electrical, and mechanical Consulting Engineering Services, as well as project management, architecture, and urban design for the District for a two (2) year period with an option to extend for one (1) additional year, up to a maximum of three (3) years, and upon mutual agreement of the parties. The District of Kitimat intends to enter into up to two (2) Contracts for the provision of Consulting Engineering Services for the delivery of assigned projects during 2022/2023 on an "as and when required" basis. The District expects to identify one (1) Proponent as the primary Consultant which it anticipates would perform majority of the work over the term of the Contract. The value of the Contract between the primary Consultant and the District is expected to be approximately $900,000,000 per year. The secondary Consultant may be requested to perform work in the sole discretion of the District to accommodate its workload. The value of the Contract between the secondary Consultant and the District is expected to be approximately $300,000 per year. These are estimates only and actual Contract values may vary considerably. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
