Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a civil project in Tisdale, Saskatchewan. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; and water / sewer project.
The major items of work for this tender include: Demolition and disposal of an existing two span timber bridge with timber deck including removal of piles to 1.5 m below grade. The timber stringers shall be salvaged a turned over to the Owner; Installation of driven steel pipe piles unless Alternative 1 is selected; Placement of concrete for piles, concrete abutment caps and precast concrete girders; Excavation and backfill as required for construction of the abutments or Alternate 1: Geosynthetic Reinforced Soil Abutment in lieu of Piling. Embankment regrading and erosion control including rip-rap, seeding, and erosion protection blankets; Fabrication and installation of bridge rails and approach rails; and Roadwork to improve and re-grade the road approaches and ditches on either side of the creek.
