Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Owen Sound, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
16th Street East Watermain Improvements. Upgrades to the water distribution system include replacement of watermain between 16th Avenue East and 18th Avenue East. The existing watermain, which is primarily within the south boulevard is undersized and does not meet current design standards. A temporary watermain will be required to maintain adequate water supply to the property at 1605 16th Street East. Improvements will also include replacement hydrants, appurtenances and water services to the property line for lots located along the sections of 16th Street East within the project scope. Due to the proximity of the existing watermain to utility poles and sidewalk, it is anticipated that the majority of the existing watermain will be abandoned in place. Concrete curb and gutter will be removed and replaced as required throughout the limits of watermain construction. 16th Street East Asphalt Resurfacing & Infrastructure Improvements. The work is to include removal and replacement of surface asphalt along 16th Street East, from 16th Avenue East to 18th Avenue East. Additional infrastructure improvements include repairs to identified storm and sanitary sewer structures and associated concrete work as required.
