This work consists of the replacement of approximately 270 lead services with copper water services from the water main to the water meter inside the property, 35 lead services on the City side only between the water main and curb box, and 32 private side only services between the curb box and water meter inside the property. The project also consists of associated restoration of pavement, sidewalk, drive approaches, and lawn areas disturbed in connection with the water line replacement.A certified check or bid bond for a sum not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid will be required with each bid. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 90 calendar days after the date and time for receiving bids. The City's Mission Statement and Sustainability Vision Statement, defines the purpose of the Equal Business Opportunity (EBO) - Construction Policy and Administrative Guidelines (1) provide equitable access to do business with the City; (2) encourage involvement in the City's Sustainability Vision Statement themes; and (3) enhance the growth, development and participation of small and emerging businesses to perform on City construction contracts. The EBO - Construction Policy and Administrative Guidelines include bid discount provisions. A contractor's bid may be discounted when the contractor can demonstrate and substantiate their involvement in practices that further the City's Mission Statement and Sustainability Vision Statement.
