Renovation of a mixed-use development in Palacios, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade educational facility.
HES Project No.: 22-1550-12918 The fine arts renovation will consist of new miscellaneous exterior repairs and deferred maintenance. Work will include replacement of sealant, roofs and gutters, sealing of exterior masonry, replacement of door hardware to meet ADA and adding access controls for security as well as painting of exterior doors, replacement of student entry storefront, new building signage and new lenses and lighting. The interior renovations of the project will consist of miscellaneous repairs, upgrades and deferred maintenance. Work will include replacement of door hardware to meet ADA, upgrade of lighting fixtures, adding instrument storage in the band hall, new millwork in the drama and band offices, new lighting fixtures and sound system in the auditorium and adding floor tile to the corridors. The restrooms within the building will be brought up to ADA/TAS requirements which will consist of remodeling of restroom spaces to increase clearances around toilets and lavatories and to allow for accommodating people with disabilities.
