Demolition, site work and addition to a civil project in Pontotoc, Mississippi. Completed plans call for the addition of a water / sewer project; for the demolition of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Project will consist of the following: Approximately 7,000 LF of gravity sewer mains, 9,000 LF of pres- sure sewer mains, one 400 gpm pump station, and assorted bores, manholes, valves and appurtenances. Bids shall be unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. A satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder or an accepted Surety, a certified check, or bank draft payable to the CITY OF PONTOTOC, on negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value), shall be submitted with each bid in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. This project is being funded in part by the Community Development Block Grant #1137-21-302-PF01and the rules and regulations therein apply. The successful bidder must comply with Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 (12 U.S.C. 1701u). CDBG regulations governing the grant re- quire that, to the greatest extent feasible opportunities for contracting, subcontracting, training and employment arising in connection with this CDBG project will be ex- tended to Section 3 businesses and Section 3 residents. Minority and Woman Owned Business Enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities, equipment, material and/or supply needs. City of Pontotoc is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and hereby notifies all Bidders will be afforded the full opportunities to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, sexual preference, marital or veteran status, or any other legally protected status in consideration for an award. The successful bidder must comply with the Davis-Bacon Act which requires that all laborers and mechanics shall be paid at rates not less than those determined by the Department of Labor to be pre- vailing for the locality in which the project is located.
