The County of Mercer requests bids to furnish and installation of one new emergency stand by generator and installation of new UPS system (furnished by owner) for the Mercer County Fire Service Training Center The project consists of furnishing and installing a new generator, automatic transfer switches, load bank, generator docking station, panelboards, feeder and branch circuiting, concrete pad, wall enclosure, site work, all required start up and testing and installation of owner provided UPS system. New generator and associated automatic transfer switches shall be manufactured by Cummins or equivalent. Project shall be phased to minimize the building shutdowns to less than 10 minutes. All temporary power provisions to maintain operation of communications center. The Contractor shall provide temporary light and power systems that meet the requirements of all trades during construction. The project will be constructed under a single prime contract. During the bid opening process, the bidders will be announced as well as bid amounts. A bid review providing unit prices will not take place at the openings. If indicated, bid proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, but not in excess of twenty thousand ($20,000) dollars and made payable to the County of Mercer.
