Approximately 700 to 1200 tons of stone has been screened by the MCRC and is available for adding to the bank run material to be able to produce approximately 10,000 tons of 22A-Modified. If the existing material will not make 22A-Modified due to the amount of fines, 23A will be acceptable. The 22A material shall be used for aggregate surfacing, patching and for aggregate base material under a hard surfacing. The 23A is intended for patching and aggregate roads that are not paved with HMA. It is intended that this agreement shall be valid for a period of at least one (1) year, 2022 and if mutually agreed extended each year for multiple years. 22A, Modified This material shall be processed, well graded, and homogenous material. It shall consist of clean, hard, durable, coarse aggregate, free from clay lumps and soft or flaky material and shall conform to the following gradation. Any deviation of this gradation shall only be accepted if approved in writing by the Mason County Road Commission. Clay as needed will be hauled into the pit by the MCRC. 23A. Materials for Processing The Mason County Road Commission has screened, and stockpiles stockpiled stone central location for processing. The MCRC will import clay as necessary to the Deren Road Pit. Coordination with the MCRC will be required. Aggregate (Gravel) gradation testing with passing results and Ice Control Sand gradation test results shall be provided by the Bidder(s) prior to final payment. MCRC reserves the right to do periodic independent assurance testing. Material determined to be not in compliance with the gradation may be rejected. Testing frequency shall be one (1) test for each 1,000 cubic yards or 1,500 tons. Measurement for material stockpiled at the Deren Road Pit shall be by Ton using calibrated belt scales. The supplier shall certify to the amount present and guarantee the amount produced. The MCRC reserves the right to do periodic stockpile cross sections to verify amounts.
