Refuse Collection Services Bids must be submitted on the proposal forms in the manner designated, enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the Bidder and Bid Number(s) on the outside, and must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond drawn to the Order of the "South Plainfield School District", for Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00), and must be delivered to Mr. Alex Benanti, Business Administrator/Board Secretary at the above place, by the hour named.
The Board assumes no responsibility for bids mismailed or misdirected. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening thereof. The Board reserves the right to reject bids according to the applicable rules and regulations governing same, or to waive informality in the bidding if it is in the interest of the Board to do so. The contract for the above-referenced project will be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder ("Contract"). Bidding shall be in conformance with the applicable requirements of N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-1 et seq. pertaining to the "Public School Contracts Law." The Bidders' attention is directed to the fact that all applicable federal, state, and municipal laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations, including N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1.1 et seq. regarding Affirmative Action of all authorities having jurisdiction over the provision of goods and services, shall apply to the contract. The Board reserved the right to reject any or all bids according to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-1 et. seq., and to also not award a contract for any portion of the project, in whole or in part, if the Board has not obtained the requisite approval for the project or any portion thereof from the appropriate state agency.
