Renovation of a water / sewer project in Kinston, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The scope of work is described as replacement of PSC lift station pumps, installation of pump rail system, revise well piping, install new piping valves, check valves, pressure gauge, new hatch on existing well, install above ground valve encloser with control panel, new pump hoist, a permanent bypass connection, and provide one spare pump for the Public Service Complex Lift Station. Plans, specifications, detail sheets, and contract documents can be viewed and printed along with this bid request from the City of Kinston Public Services Website. Work will be awarded to the lowest responsive bidder based on total bid amount. The City of Kinston reserves the right to remove some or all of the items listed in the scope of work before awarding bid. Pay request shall be paid Net 30 days as a one-time lump sum payment upon completion of all work, testing, and satisfactory operation of the lift station. Additional parts and repairs may be added to the scope of work upon agreement between the City and the Contractor, up to 100% of the original bid. The City of Kinston also encourages MWBE firms to participate in this bid request. Contractors shall be licensed to perform all utility work as stated in the scope. Workers Compensation providing statutory limits and employer's liability limits of not less than $500,000.00; General Liability and Vehicle/Equipment Liability with limits not less than $2,000,000.00 per occurrence covering bodily injury and property damage.
