This project is for O.R. Supplemental Cooling at the VANJ East Orange Campus at 385 Tremont Ave. East Orange, NJ 07018. Magnitude of Construction: Between $100,000 - $250,000 NAICS: 238220 Size Standard: $16.5M Completion Time: 45 days after Notice to Proceed This requirement is a 100% Service-Disabled veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set aside. Potential contractors must be registered in SAM (www.sam.gov), Dun & Bradstreet (www.dnb.com) and are verified/visible/certified as an SDVOSB in VIP (www.vetbiz.va.gov) at the time of offer and before award of this procurement. Site Visit: A site visit will be available for interested parties on May 24, 2022 at 5:00PM EST. All interested parties shall meet at Building 1 at the East Orange Campus 385 Tremont Ave. East Orange, NJ 07018. The Government shall award this procurement on technical capabilities, price and past performance. Please provide a maximum 5-page capability statement that indicates that the vendor has the trained personnel, experience with the same or similar work and the capabilities to adhere to the stated completion time. Proposals failing to submit a capability statement that addresses these items may be deemed non-responsive. The Government reserves the right to make award without discussions. NOTE: CONTRACTORS MUST ACKNOWLEDGE ALL SOLICITATION AMENDMENT Refer to solicitation for full description of requirement. 10 45 11. The Contractor shall begin performance within 45 calendar days an Contract description. Furnish and Install 5 Standalone HVAC systems for O.R. non-surgical spaces. 2. Background. As a result of renovation of some ancillary space now used by Surgical Service the existing air handling unit supplying HVAC to this and other spaces within the O.R. suite no longer have the capacity to cover the entire area. This procurement is to supplement this HVAC system to take up the slack of the existing unit. Since these spaces store Sterile supplies the temperature and humidity needs to be with certain parameters. 3. Scope. Contractor shall furnish all labor and materials to install supplemental HVAC units for specific rooms within the suite. Locations are Bldg. 1 2nd. Fl. rooms 2-302, 303, 324, 325 and 329. 4. Specific Tasks. A. The scope of work shall include but not be limited to the following main items: 1. Install (2) 1.25 ton ducted concealed units 2. Install (1) 1 ton ducted concealed unit 3. Install (1) 1 ton 2'x2' ceiling cassette unit 4. Install (1) 3 ton multizone condenser unit and (1) 2 ton condenser unit on the 1st fl. Roof for the above mentioned units 5. Removal and replacement of parts of (2) sheetrock ceilings to install the ceiling cassette and associated ductwork. 6. Run and terminate electrical wiring for all the above mentioned units. B. The Contractor shall: 1. Provide all necessary Labor, Material and equipment to perform the required work to provide fully functional system. 2. Re-commission the system and prepare for system reactivation. 5. Performance Monitoring (if applicable). Work shall be coordinated with facility thru the Contracting Office Representative (COR). COR will monitor the contractor work performance on daily basis and the contractor is required to submit daily's progress report to the COR. 6. Security Requirements. General Contractor's employees shall not enter the project site without appropriate security badge. They may also be subject to inspection of their personal effects when entering or leaving the project site. No photography of VA premises is allowed without written permission of the Contracting Officer except as specifically required by the scope of the work. VA reserves the right to close or shut down the project site and order General Contractor's employees off the premises in the event of a national emergency. The General Contractor may return to the site only with the written approval of the Contracting Officer. Contractor employees are subject to daily screening for COVID-19 and may be denied entry to VA facilities if they fail to pass screening protocols. As part of the screening process contractors may be asked screening questions found on the COVID-19 Screening Tool.
