The Town of Vermilion will receive Proposals in a sealed package clearly marked "General Engineering Services" and addressed and received at: Town of Vermilion Administration Building 5021 - 49 Ave Vermilion, Alberta, T9X 1X1 Prior to 2:00:00 PM Local Time on Tuesday June 7, 2022. Questions will be accepted up until June 3, 2022 at 9:00:00 am. No faxed or electronic formatted document sent via email will be accepted as a form of submission by the Town of Vermilion. Two (2) bound original and one (1) digital copies of the Completed Proposal shall be submitted. All copies must be signed by an officer(s) of the company. It is the Proponent's sole responsibility to ensure that the envelope is received at the correct place and on time. Any Proposal received after the stated closing time for receipt will be marked as to the date and time received and returned unopened. The expected work includes providing engineering services, as needed, for items including but not limited to: Consultation on questions arising from the day-to-day operations of the municipality; Consultation with Town staff on other engineering related questions that may arise during the normal course of business; Cost estimates for budgeting purposes, design work, and construction management services, as requested, for capital projects from time to time; Preliminary planning activities, detailed design and coordinates the construction of new infrastructure related to transportation, storm sewer, water transmission and distribution and wastewater collection systems; Generate tender / proposal documents, specifications and cost estimates and administering construction contracts; Evaluate requests for capital program projects and recommends solutions based on sound engineering principles; Coordinate with the Province and/or Federal Government on municipally designated roadways and water and wastewater infrastructure funding agreements; Participate in long and short term planning for the extension and upgrading of municipal infrastructure to accommodate growth, ensure public safety and the efficiency and reliability of the infrastructure; Liaison with other levels of government, utility companies and community groups on engineering issues; Provide the Town with GIS and mapping updates and support and work with the towns GIS provider; Work with the town on Water modelling and wastewater modelling; Provide GIS provider with files to update GIS program on a regular basis when requested. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
