As of July 1, 2022, bids received were rejected. Project will rebid but no definite date yet. Little Bushkill Creek, a tributary to Bushkill Creek, is located primarily in Plainfield Township, Northampton County. The stream and streambanks have become degraded along the Plainfield Township Recreation Trail. Severe streambank erosion is evident while stream conditions show signs of degradation from sedimentation. Plainfield Township has developed a Pollutant Reduction Plan which requires 1,601 linear feet of streambank stabilization as part of the MS4 requirements. The plan identifies specific restoration sites in order to fulfill the stream length requirement for bank and sediment stabilization. Restoration has been completed at one site in 2021 comprising approximately 300 linear feet of streambank. This invitation to bid is for the restoration of the three remaining sites (Site 1, Site 4, and Site 5) located at different points along the trail. The sites, adding to approximately 1,400 feet in length, were chosen to address erosion and trail infrastructure concerns.CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 6/3/2022 5:00 PM The Township has partnered with Wildlands Conservancy on the management of this restoration. The selected contractor will work directly with Wildlands and the Township on the project. The requested bid is for the procurement of materials and completion of stream restoration construction along the trail. ARM Group, LLC completed the project designs for each site, which lay out specific instructions for construction. Wildlands and ARM will partner in conducting oversight of the selected contractor during the construction period. The Township will make regular visits to the site as well.
