Site work for a water / sewer project in Garden City, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

This project generally includes but is not limited to the demolition and reconstruction of the concrete spillway channel, stump removal, spillway rehabilitation, spillway wall rehabilitation and underdrain installation. The project includes other ancillary work required for a complete project. The bidding documents includes a base bid and two alternates for the rehabilitation or demolition and reconstruction of the existing spillway and spillway walls. The project is located on the southern end of the Jackson Summit Reservoir located off Tolmantown Road in the Town of Mayfield. The Project shall be substantially completed on or before October 15, 2022 and ready for final completion on or before November 15, 2022. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids will be received on itemized unit price basis, with alternates. Bids should not include sales and compensating use taxes on materials incorporated into the work. Bids actually received by mail or by hand after the appointed time on the date specified shall be rejected, notwithstanding that such Bid may have been placed in a mail box or other mail receptacle regularly maintained by the United States Postal Service before such time, and ordinarily in sufficient time to have been delivered on time. Bid security in the amount of 5% of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the Presidents Executive Orders No. 11246 and No. 11375, which pertain to nondiscrimination in employment. The requirements for Bidders and Contractors under these orders are explained in the Bidding and Contract Documents. Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises, Service-disabled Veteran Owned Business Enterprises, and Section 3 businesses are strongly encouraged to participate in the bidding for this federally funded project. The Gloversville Water Works is an equal opportunity employer. The successful bidder must be an equal opportunity employer, must meet all appropriate State and federal standards, and comply with all rules and regulations as they pertain to the Community Development Block Grant Program for the term of the Jackson Summit Reservoir West Service Spillway Reconstruction project. Bidders on this work shall pay the greater of NYS or federal wage rates prevailing at the time for each classification of work. New York State Department of Labor wage rate schedule: PRC #2021010585; federal wage rate schedule will be the latest modification of NY20210002 for Fulton County, as published by the U.S. Department of Labor. The Gloversville Water Works reserves the right to waive any informalities or irregularities in the Bids received, or to reject any or all Bids without explanation
