Bids will be received for a Single Overall Contract, where the entire project will be executed by a single firm with undivided responsibility for performance and other requirements. The time of completion for this project is 60 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated Damages for this project are at $500 per calendar day. The Maintenance Guarantee for the project is 100% of the Project cost for 2 years from the acceptance of work. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all Bids for any and all causes as may be permissible in the Local Public Contracts Law. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.37 and 34:11-56.38 of the Prevailing Wage Act, no public works contract may be awarded to any contractor and subcontractors or to any firm, corporation or partnership in which they have an interest while on the Debarred Contractors List until the expiration date given. The proposal is being solicited through a fair and open process in accordance with the N.J.S.A. 19:44A-20.4 et seq. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq, and N.J.A.C. 17:27, which deal with Affirmative Action in relation to discrimination in connection with certain public contracts. All construction contracts equal to or greater than $1,000,000 must comply with N.J.A.C. 17:27-7.4.
