Mansfield University of the PA State System of Higher Education invites Asphalt/Concrete Paving Contractors to download bid documents for this project. Work included under this project consists of Asphalt and Concret Paving Services - WOCC. Unit-priced Work Order Contract for Construction (WOCC), against which Individual Work Orders (IWO) will be issued. Scope of Work shall include, but is not necessarily limited to new asphalt, pot hole repair, or replacement of existing asphalt concrete paving such as roadways, parking lots, walkways, and the application of asphalt seal coat, and line painting, and minor site restorations. All work is based on a unit prices outlined in Section 012200. The contract will be awarded as an open ended Work Order Contract for Construction (WOCC) for a one year period, and contain options to renew for four additional one year periods. Individual Work Orders (IWO) will be issued against the open ended WOCC. Any escalation of annual costs for the renewal years will be handled as described below: The unit prices on the Contractor's Bid Form shall be the Contractual unit prices for the first year of the Contract. For subsequent years of the Contract, Contractual unit prices will be subject to escalation. The basis for any escalation (increase or decrease) shall be The Consumer Price Index For All Urban Consumers (CPI-U), US City Average, as published by United States Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics. Contractual unit prices will be subject to escalation only at each Contract Renewal. The base CPI-U for this Contract is that for March 2022, 287.504, It will be compared with the most recently-available CPI-U when any Contract Renewal is prepared.
