Provide grass seed at various locations Questions Due Date: Jul 1st 2022, 10:00 AM MST Grass seed to be delivered by September 15, 2022 Grass Seed furnished must be in accordance with the City of Yuma Landscape Ordinance Title 15: Land Usage/ Chapter 154: Zoning, Article 20 - Landscape Regulations; section (H) Prohibited Plants. All Grass Seed delivered must be labeled in accordance with the Federal Seed Act SAR-156 (January 17, 1967) or any subsequent revisions thereto. All Grass Seed must have been rated by the National Turf Grass Evaluation Program (NTEP) or other certified trial rating program within the past three years (no earlier than NTEP 2005-09 Data - Final Report). Quality Ratings based on 1-9; with 9 being most desirable, must be provided with bid submission for each type of seed quoted. Failure to provide trial ratings may result in bid being considered non-responsive. Alternates from brand name specified must be marked and detailed specifications and descriptive literature for each item offered as an equivalent to the brand name specified must be provided and noted under Bid Summary. Failure to provide this information may result in bid being considered non-responsive. To ensure optimum germination, all Grass Seed furnished and delivered under this Contract must have a harvest date, which does not exceed eight months in age from the date order is placed. All pricing must be firm and include all transportation, insurance and warrant cost. The City must not be invoiced at the prices higher than those stated in any purchase order resulting from this solicitation. No fuel surcharges will be accepted. No price increases will be accepted without proper request by Vendor during the above stated time frame and response by the City's Purchasing Division. If any product varies from the specification, or if substitution or alternative(s) are offered, such variations must be listed in writing on the Bid Form in the non-conformance section. The City reserves the right to waive minor deviations if the product is deemed suitable for the intended purpose. By submitting a bid, the amount of pounds specified on the bid table in your submittal shall be held and allocated for the City of Yuma during the evaluation stage, prior to award. An award is expected no later than two business days after close of bid.
