Tenders are invited to provide an experienced locomotive repair Supervisor to instruct, direct, supervise, and assist District personnel in performing locomotive inspection, certification and repair, and furnish all tools, equipment, materials and appurtenances, as specified, including transportation, necessary to repair and maintain three EMD 600 hp, SW-1, and one EMD 1,500 hp, MP-15 locomotives and perform Annual Load/Power Test at the Stickney Water Reclamation Plant roundhouse on an "as-needed" basis until December 31, 2024. The estimated cost of the work under this Contract is not to exceed $315,000.00. There is no bid deposit required. The Contract is divided, for purposes of bidding, into four (4) Items. Bidders must submit a bid for all four (4) Items or the bid will be considered non-responsive. The District intends to award one Contract to one Bidder for all the work to be performed. The District assumes no liability or responsibility for the failure or inability of any Bidder to successfully download any and all contract documents, including but not limited to specifications, proposal forms and/or plans, as a result of any type of technological computer and/or software system failure or breakdown that restricts, prohibits or prevents successful downloading of any and all District contract documents by the Bidder, whether caused by the District or other parties, directly or indirectly. All contracts for the Construction of Public Works are subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130/1 et. Seq.). Attendees are advised to bring a hard hat and appropriate footwear for an industrial type of facility and a current business card. No questions will be allowed or answered at the walk-through. The District's portal will be used for any questions as indicated in the Invitation to Bid documents for this contract.
