William Winchester Elementary School is located at 70 Monroe Street, Westminster, MD 21157. William Winchester Elementary School Heating Water Plant: Removal of Existing and Providing Upgraded Replacement 1. Heating Water Plant a. Remove two (2) 2500 MBH Scotch Marine Boilers and replace with three (3) 1500 MBH high efficiency condensing boilers. b. Remove four (4) constant speed heating water pumps and replace with two (2) variable speed heating water pumps. c. Remove associated hydronic piping, flues and ductwork in the boiler room to the extent indicated. Replace these items as indicated to accommodate new work. d. Replace the exhaust fan serving the boiler room 2. ATC a. Remove and replace heating water plant controls. b. All controls to be done by Johnson Controls (as part of GC's contract) c. Controls to be DDC 3. Domestic Water Heater a. Replace existing with high efficiency condensing type of similar capacity. 4. Duration and Phasing a. Construction to be completed prior to the end of 2022. b. Phasing of the work shall be required if construction is not completed prior to the start of the heating season (typically the beginning of October). Once heating season starts, the heating water plant must be operational. All contractors must be pre-qualified in order to submit a bid on this project. Bids received from contractors who are not pre-qualified in advance will not be considered.
