All bids shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name of the bidder and clearly marked "Annual Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems, Portable Fire Extinguishers, Fire Alarm System, and Emergency Call System." Sealed bids for the Annual Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems, Portable Fire Extinguishers, Fire Alarm System, and Emergency Call System at NJ7-1 Asbury Park Village, NJ7-2 Washington Village, NJ7-4 Lincoln Village, NJ7-5 Comstock Court, NJ7-6 Lumley Homes A&B, and NJ7-7 Bidders are required to submit a certified check payable to the order of the Asbury Park Housing Authority in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount or a bid bond for a like sum executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and be acceptable to the Federal Government. The bid bond, consent of surety and performance and payment bond must be listed in the Federal Treasury Department Circular 570. In the event the Bidder is a corporation or a partnership, a statement must be submitted setting forth the names and addresses of all stock holders in the corporation or partnership who owns ten percent (10%) or greater interest therein. Each bid must be accompanied by a certification by the Bidder regarding Equal Opportunity Employment practices, a Non-Collusive Affidavit, and a Statement of Compliance with the bidding requirements. The bidders shall include a copy of the contractor's (including any subcontractor's) business registration pursuant to Section 1 of P.L. 2001, c.134 (C 52:32-44). The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance/Payment Bonds in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. The Authority does not obligate itself to accept the lowest bid (with reasonable cause) and reserves the right to waive any informality in the bidding process or to accept or reject any or all bids if deemed to be in the best interest of the Authority.
