Site work for a civil project in Jurupa Valley, California. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Phase 1 system consists of a regional pump station and over 56,000 feet of pipeline ranging from 8 to 24 inches. The pipelines are currently proposed to be broken into three separate construction bids. All design work on the customer side of the meter is being conducted under a separate contract with John Robinson Consulting, Inc (JRC). The Phase 1 system design and engineering construction support work will be conducted in conjunction with JRC's work and the District's Community Outreach consultant, NV5. Consultant is aware of the requirements of California Labor Code Section 1720, et seq., and 1770, et seq., as well as California Code of Regulations, Title 8, Section 16000, et seq., ("Prevailing Wage Laws"), which require the payment of prevailing wage rates and the performance of other requirements on "public works" and "maintenance" projects. If the Services are being performed as part of an applicable "public works" or "maintenance" project, as defined by the Prevailing Wage Laws, and if the total compensation is $1,000 or more, Consultant agrees to fully comply with such Prevailing Wage Laws, including the requirement to be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations and to file certified payroll records electronically with the Department. District shall provide Consultant with a copy of the prevailing rates of per diem wages in effect at the commencement of this Agreement. Consultant shall make copies of the prevailing rates of per diem wages for each craft; classification or type of worker needed to execute the Services available to interested parties upon request, and shall post copies at the Consultant's principal place of business and at the project site. Consultant shall defend, indemnify and hold the District, its elected officials, officers, employees and agents free and harmless from any claim or liability arising out of any failure or alleged failure to comply with the Prevailing Wage Laws. Effect of Termination. If this Agreement is terminated as provided herein, District may require Consultant to provide all finished or unfinished Documents and Data and other information of any kind prepared by Consultant in connection with the performance of Services under this Agreement. Consultant shall be required to provide such document and other information within fifteen (15) days of the request.
