A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The Las Gallinas Valley Sanitary District is seeking proposals for the design and installation of an approximately 1 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) system. The scope of work includes the removal of the existing ~600 kW solar PV system and associated equipment, the reuse of existing infrastructure as appropriate, and the construction of the new system according to the documents that follow The District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and/or to waive any irregularities to the extent permitted by law Question Deadline 02/14/2025 A Obtain pricing for the capital purchase for a new PV system. B Remove and dispose of 3 central inverters and unused transformers from the existing PV system. C Remove approximately 2,500 existing solar PV panels. Palletize the solar panels and support the loading of the panels onto trucks for offsite disposal. The District will be responsible for the costs of disposal and recycling. D Repurpose existing racking system as appropriate. The District will be responsible for the structural integrity of the existing concrete grade beam foundation and vertical steel column supports. E Install a 1 MW solar PV system. GENERAL A Removal and disposal of the existing inverters and transformers, as appropriate. B Removal existing solar PV panels. Palletize the old panels and support the loading of the panels onto trucks for disposal. C Design and installation of a new 1 MW solar PV system. D The District is the permitting authority for the Project. E Obtain City of San Rafael and County of Marin Fire Department jurisdiction approval for fire access. F If transformers have long lead times, the existing transformers could be used temporarily for partial PG&E Permit to Operate (PTO). G Prevailing wages are required. H The District will retain ownership of all environmental attributes of the energy systems (Renewable Energy Credits (RECs), Carbon Credits, etc.).
