Site work for a water / sewer project in Quakertown, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Requests for clarification are due Friday, June 17, 2022 4:00:00 PM This project will generally consist of excavation and removal of existing storm sewer pipe of unknown size and material and replacement with 24-inch smooth lined high density polyethylene (SLHDPE) storm sewer pipe, 2 concrete manholes and 2 flared end sections. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the Borough of Quakertown.The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner.The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body project. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates, as set forth in the Contract Documents, must be paid to workmen employed on this project. In addition, the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or disability. Award of Contract, if a Contract be awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder, but the Owner reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities.
