Site work and paving for a road / highway in Maquoketa, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The City of Maquoketa is requesting sealed competitive quotes for sealcoat work on multiple city streets.All work is to be completed no later than Wednesday, August 31, 2022. Any questions about the bidding process for these projects may be directed to Frank Ellenz, Public Works Director, at 563-652-4628.Commencement of the project may begin after a notice to proceed is issued on behalf of the City. A notice to proceed will only be issued when all forms required for the project (such as insurance and bonds) are received and on file at Maquoketa City Hall. Each quote shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond, Certified Check, Certified Share Draft or Cashier's Check in a separate envelope in an amount equal to five (5%) of the total amount of the bid as security that if awarded a contract, the bidder will enter into a contract at the prices quoted and furnish the required performance and payment bonds and certificates of insurance.A mandatory pre-bid meeting will NOT be held. Please call the Public Works Director at 563-212-0595 with questions. Answers will be forwarded to all plan holders. The City reserves the right to reject all bids, waive informalities and make a decision that best suits the interests of the citizens of Maquoketa.
