Renovation of a warehouse / distribution facility in Victoria, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a warehouse / distribution facility.
Transportation Investment Corporation (TI Corp) on behalf of the Royal British Columbia Museum ("Royal BC Museum" or RBCM) is seeking to establish an agreement for Construction Management Services in relation to tenant improvements for a prefabricated warehouse space (the Project). The tenant improvements will include, but are not limited to, envelope upgrade, electrical systems upgrade, provision of mechanical systems, and fit-out of storage space. The Museum requires a construction manager to provide Construction Management Services for tenant improvements within the prefabricated warehouse located in the Capital Regional District, British Columbia. The warehouse space is approximately 28,000 ft2. The warehouse has six overhead doors and ceiling heights of up to 22 feet clear including a mezzanine. The warehouse is expected to be unoccupied during construction. The Project includes: a) Upgrade to the building envelope to maintain consistent environmental conditions; b) Procurement and installation of storage racks including seismic restraint (approximately 18,000 ft2 at ground level); c) Modification of existing partitioned spaces for fit-out of a carpentry workshop and production area (approximately 9,000 ft2 at ground level); d) Minor renovations and fit-out of existing office space (approximately 1,000 ft2 mezzanine level); e) Upgrade of electrical systems and installation of mechanical systems to support environmental controls; and f) Upgrade and/or installation of IMIT, security and fire protection systems.
