Site work and paving for a civil project in New London, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The City of New London is reconstructing Jefferson Avenue between the intersections of Broad (State Route 85) and Chester Street in order to replace the aged and deteriorated pavement and subbase material. The full depth reconstruction process will achieve a uniform vertical grade and cross slope. The existing drainage system within the project area, catch basins and pipes, will be removed and replaced as well. The project will also incorporate two dedicated bi-directional bike lanes (each 5 feet wide), removal of existing signal infrastructure, and the installation of a modern roundabout at Jefferson Avenue and Chester Street.
