Remodeling and renovation of a military facility in New London, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the remodel of a military facility.
Completely gut the interior to framing, except for the existing hardwood floors, and rebuild the interior, repair & refinish the hardware floors. The project includes removal of all lead and asbestos containing materials and selective exterior work as noted. Base Bid - Work includes full abatement and disposal of interior lead and asbestos, and exterior asbestos caulking at windows, complete testing and documentation of a successful abatement. Replace all the windows with low maintenance, high efficiency fiberglass windows and impact glazing, remodel bathrooms and kitchen, replace selected HVAC and plumbing components, replacing the electrical system, replace all plaster walls and wood trim, repair & refinish hardwood floors. Option 1 - Change the proposed fiberglass windows with wood interior and impact glazing to wood windows with aluminum clad exterior and impact glazing. Option 2 - Change the proposed interior wall and ceiling construction from gypsum board with skim coat (level 5 finish) to gypsum blue board with 3 coat plaster finish. *The bid list for this project may be incomplete.
