The City of Plantation is actively seeking bids from contractors for the furnishing and installation of a new flooring and railing on walking Pier at Volunteer Park. Qualified bidders, hereinafter referred to as the Contractor, shall furnish the equipment/product and perform the installation services of a pressure treated flooring and railing with specifications, terms, and conditions contained in this Written Bid (WB). The Contractor must provide all of the following specifications and services. (Bridge Decking and Railings)
Contractor will be responsible for furnishing all the materials, labor, machinery, and equipment necessary for completion of the specified project herein.
All services shall be in accordance with all governmental standards, to include, but
not limited to, those issued by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration
(OSHA), the National Institute of Occupational Safety Hazards (NIOSH), and the
National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
(Area Dimensions)
The proposed site dimensions for this project are 1020 square feet of decking and 210 linear feet of railing (estimated) See Attachment "A".
The Contractor shall submit a price for furnishing and installation of a new floors and railings that covers the specified area. (Demo)
The Contractor shall remove decking from property. (Materials)
The Contractor must use replace decking with No. 2 Pressure Treated 2x6 lumber
The Contractor must install railing to match the other railing already in place on bridges and piers. (see attached bridge pictures).
The Contractor must use PT dimensional lumber in the same style it presently used.
(Engineered Drawings) The Contractor must submit engineered drawings of the proposed bridge repairs with the bid submittal. All questions should be submitted by email to JThompson@plantation.org. The CITY reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to re-advertise for bids or take any other such actions that may be deemed to be in the best interests of the CITY
