The Town of Pearl River (Town) is soliciting proposals from interested parties for 2022 Hurricane Season Post-Disaster Debris Removal and Disposal. The project consists of Debris Removal and Disposal following catastrophic events for the 2022 Hurricane Season. Firms must have experience in performing and coordinating this type of work. The work will include loading, removal, hauling, reduction, and final disposal of storm debris following the passage of a storm. The schedule of contract items and unit prices provided in the proposal shall be used through May 31, 2023 with an option, if agreeable by both parties, for two separate one (1) year periods beginning June 1, 2023 and June 1, 2024. At the beginning of each new contract period, the unit prices shall be adjusted by a percentage amount equal to the new percentage change in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the prior calendar year end or five percent (5%) which-ever is less. The CPI to be used shall be from the unadjusted Consumer Price Index, All Urban consumers, (CPI) United States published by the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics. The Contractor shall hold a Louisiana General Contractors license. An executed affidavit and attestation form must be submitted prior to award. The signature on the proposal must be that of an authorized representative of t he corporation, partnership or other legal entity as defined by Louisiana Public Bid Law Revised Statute LA R.S. 38:2212(B)(5) which dictates parties authorized to submit bids for public contracts. This project is funded with federal funds. All applicable laws, ordinances, and the rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction over construction of the project shall apply to the contract throughout. All proposals, bids and applications are welcomed. The Town encourages participation by Minority, Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise firms.
