For cleaning services from qualified, insured contractors to complete transit shelter cleaning services. The work to be performed under this contract consists of furnishing all required equipment, supplies, and labor necessary to clean the transit shelters year-round. These transit shelters are located along transit routes near residential, commercial, and industrial frontage in the City of Rochester. There are 75 transit shelters in the City of Rochester of which 70 are in need of cleaning services. The proposed contract duration will be Monday, July 25, 2022 to Wednesday, January 25, 2022 with the option to renew for two three month extensions at the previously adopted rate. RPT will notify the Contractor of extension approval by Wednesday, January 4, 2022 and Wednesday, April 5, 2023 respectively. The contract will conclude Wednesday, July 26, 2023 if both extensions are used. Invoicing the City of Rochester will occur on a monthly basis for work completed to the satisfaction of RPT. The Contractor is expected to communicate proactively on transit shelter issues and concerns with RPT staff. Wednesday 6/22/2022 Responses to questions posted by 12:00 p.m. Wednesday 6/29/2022 Recommended contractor announced via email @ 4:00 p.m. Wednesday 7/18/2022 City Council Approval of Contract Monday 7/25/2022 Notice to Proceed, pending insurance & bond submission Submit questions related to specific project requirements in writing by 4:00 PM by Monday, June 20, 2022. All questions should be submitted via email to Aaron Buckley, Rochester Public Works, Transit and Parking Coordinator at abuckley@rochestermn.gov. All questions regarding this RFQ are to be directed only to Aaron Buckley. Proposers may be disqualified if any unsolicited contact related to this RFQ is made with an employee or representative of other than the RFQ Administrator during the proposal process. RPT reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and waive formalities and to select the proposal it deems to be in the best interest of the City of Rochester based on description of services, cost, and coordination if more than one Contractor is selected.
