The County of Calaveras (County) - in partnership with California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and Calaveras Council of Governments (CCOG) - is soliciting proposals from independent, licensed, professional consultant firms with expertise to deliver approximately a 3-mile roadway project including, but not limited to, Project Management and Administration; Design Services; Right of Way Acquisition; Environmental Permitting; and Construction Support. The ideal consultant shall have experience working with, or in a County or local government agency with specific expertise in roadway improvement projects on the State Highway System. It is expected that the ideal consultant shall represent the County and the County's interests at all times while managing the program with minimal guidance from the County. It is the intent of the County to select the most qualified firm to provide the professional services described herein. However, the County reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to terminate the Request for Proposals (RFP) process or negotiation with a selected firm and either perform the work with its staff or begin a new consultant selection process. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
