Renovation of a transportation facility in San Andreas, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
The new Maintenance and Warehouse building will be located adjacent to the District's main office on George Reeds Drive in San Andreas. The District had Pre-Engineered Metal Building was Erected last year for Maintenance and Warehouse Space. This Project will provide interior Tenant Improvements including Office, Storage, Fabrication and Restrooms spaces within the metal building shell. A District representative will be available at the front entrance of District office starting approximately 30 minutes prior to bid closing to collect bids. Bids via FEDEX or UPS will be accepted but they need to be inside a separately sealed envelope inside the FEDEX or UPS packaging and advise that they be delivered a day early to assure receipt prior to the bid opening date and time. The District will not accept responsibility for lost, misplaced, or delayed packages, if they cannot be readily located prior to or at the date and time of the bid opening. This Project is in San Andreas, California and scope of work generally includes framing, insulation, doors, windows, plumbing, acoustic ceilings, flooring, sinks, restrooms, HVAC mini splits and interior finishes. The District is in the process of obtaining revisions to the existing building permit from Calaveras County Building Department to include tenant improvements. All work will be inspected by C.C.W.D. and Calaveras County Building Department. Electrical will be installed by C.C.W.D. Prospective Bidders shall be licensed Contractors in the State of California and shall be skilled and regularly engaged in the general class or type of work called for under the Contract. Each Bidder shall have Class B - General Building California Contractor's license. Bidders shall submit a statement of qualifications and at least three (3) references of representative projects of similar size and complexity upon request of the District. The Contractor will not have exclusive use of the Project site as there will be site work and electrical work going on concurrently with this Project. The Contractor will be required to coordinate work with District Electrical Staff to allow time for our staff to install electrical and lighting within the walls/ceiling during construction. All contractors and subcontractors shall be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5 to be qualified to bid on this project or to be listed as a subcontractor for this project pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 4104. Bidders will be required to submit proof of registration for themselves and all listed subcontractors prior to award of the contract. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of 5 percent Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, including without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional Bids. Owner also reserves the right to waive all minor Bid informalities not involving price, time, or changes in the Work.
