This Contract provides for the restoration of fish habitat in the Dungeness River near river mile (RM) 10. The Work includes but is not limited to the following.
1) Excavating a side channel.
2) Installing Engineered Logjams (ELJs) and log habitat structures within the excavated side channel (while disconnected from the main river) and within the flowing river channel.
3) Furnishing and hauling streambed boulders.
4) Hauling and staging timber.
5) Assembling and installing rock collar anchors.
6) Isolating wetted Work areas to prevent, elevated turbidity levels and fish harm.
7) Site restoration, seeding, and other Work. This Work includes connecting the side channel to the river. Contractor may commence side channel excavation and construction elements in the floodplain prior to July 1, 2022. Contractor must complete all Work no later than November 15, 2022. This solicitation does not commit the Tribe to pay any costs incurred in preparation of a bid. The Tribe reserves the right to readvertise the bid when it is in best interest of the Tribe. Contractor shall meet, or exceed Clallam County Davis Bacon Wage rates for any work that is performed on-site and submit certain certified payroll reports documenting that, the wage requirements are met. Bids from Contractors that are debarred, suspended or declared ineligible will be rejected. The Tribe will give preference to Alaska Native and. Indian owned Economic Enterprises so long as the bid does not exceed the lowest bid by 5% and proves not less than 51% ownership. This is not a Federal Contract, responsibility for compliance with and enforcement of the contract resides with the Tribe. In the bid documents, specifications and drawings, the Tribe may also be referred to as the owner, Engineer, or agency. All work shall conform to the Washington State Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge and Municipal Construction, 2022 edition and the special provisions. All questions must be submitted in writing at least 2 days prior to the bid due date. If any changes to the bid documents are necessitated, an addendum will be issued by email.
