The Richmond Metropolitan Transportation Authority ("Authority" or "RMTA") invites bids from electrical contractors experienced with the replacement of large commercial generators. The intent and purpose of this Invitation for Bid ("IFB") is to establish an agreement with qualified contractor and/or manufacturer to: Provide three (3) 300 kW replacement generators to be located at the Authority's three main toll plazas - Downtown Expressway, Powhite Parkway North and Powhite Parkway South Remove and dispose of, off Authority property, existing generators Supply all ancillary materials, labor, transportation, etc. as necessary to fully remove and replace existing diesel fuel generators Any questions about the scope of work or specifications contained in this IFB must be submitted in writing no later than 5:00 p.m. local time, Monday, June 6, 2022 to Mrs. Paula Watson, email: Paula.Watson@rmtaonline.org. "Any revision made to this IFB shall be in the form of an addendum and will be forwarded to all pre-bid meeting attendees. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bidder's bond issued by a company authorized and licensed to transact business as surety in the Commonwealth of Virginia, a certified check, or cash escrow, in an amount equal to not less than five (5) percent of the total amount of the bid, made payable to Richmond Metropolitan Transportation Authority. The Authority reserves the right to waive minor non-substantive errors in the Bid, to reject any/or all Bids, to award any Bid in whole or in part, and to award the Bid considered to be in the best interest of the Authority
