The Board of County Commissioners of Garrett County, Maryland will accept sealed bids for the purchase of corrugated steel planks as specified for bridge deck replacement on Bridge G-106 on Bear Hill Road and Bridge G-113 on Old Frostburg Road in Garrett County, Maryland. Inquiries may be made by calling (301) 334-1995 or by emailing purchasing@garrettcounty.org. Questions regarding the bid should be emailed to purchasing@garrettcounty.org. The Purchasing Division will formally respond to questions via addendums to the bid. Please be advised that questions will be entertained until 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 2, 2022. Questions asked after this time will not be answered When required on the Bid cover sheet, each Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid bond signed by a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Maryland, or by cashier's check, certified check or Treasurer's check drawn on a responsible bank doing business in the United States in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total Bid and shall be made payable to the Board of Garrett County Commissioners. The Performance Bond shall be in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price covering faithful performance of the Contract; and the Labor and Materials Payment Bond shall be in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price as security for payment of all persons performing labor and furnishing materials in connection therewith. The Board of County Commissioners of Garrett County, Maryland reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to cancel this invitation to bid and to waive technicalities in any part thereof deemed to be in the best interest of Garrett County
