Reference Number 00003081076 This Request for Proposals ("RFP") is an invitation by Halifax Regional Municipality ("HRM") to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the provision of Engineering Consulting Services for Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD) testing, geotechnical investigations (boreholes and ground penetrating radar (GPR)) and subsequent pavement rehabilitation designs / recommendations for various streets throughout HRM Goal HRM requires a qualified engineering consultant company to conduct falling weight deflectometer (FWD) testing, geotechnical investigations (boreholes, ground penetrating radar (GPR)), traffic counts and pavement rehabilitation designs / recommendations for several streets located throughout the Municipality. The list of streets is provided in Appendix F, Project Locations. The following is a brief breakdown of the required services: - Falling weight deflectometer (FWD) testing; - Geotechnical investigations, including borehole analysis, ground penetrating radar (GPR), laboratory testing and potentially a visual condition survey; - Traffic Counts in accordance with FHWA Vehicle Classifications; - Pavement rehabilitation designs in accordance with AASHTO 1993; - Final report including recommendations The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
