Vancouver Island University seeks a capable and experienced service provider for snow removal and ice control services at the time of severe weather conditions on a priority basis to all its required locations. Known as a centre of excellence for teaching, applied research and learning, Vancouver Island University (VIU), is a public post-secondary institution with roots that date back to 1936 when Nanaimo's first vocational training school opened its doors. Further details as to the scope of this opportunity and the requirements can be found in Section D of this NRFP. Proponents should divide their responses into appropriately sized (smaller than 8 MB) numbered files, if applicable. Email submissions will not be opened until after the Closing Time. The Proponent has sole responsibility for the timely submission of their proposal. Due to the vagaries of electronic transmissions, the University shall not be responsible for failure to receive or properly download any questions sent via email for any reason or cause. If the Proponent does not receive a timely response to a question/inquiry, it is the responsibility of the Proponent to follow up with the University to confirm receipt of the question/inquiry. Proposals will not be publicly opened.Any proposal received after the Closing Time will not be accepted or evaluated. The Proponent has sole responsibility for the timely submission of their proposal. The time stamp of VIU's Procurement and Contract Services Department shall be the official time for receipt of the proposal. All proposals received as a result of this NRFP shall become the property of VIU. Proposed pricing should be submitted in a separate document file from the NRFP response file.
