Renovation of a mixed-use development in Schaumburg, Illinois. Working plans call for the renovation of a conference / convention center; and water / sewer project.

The automatic throw-over switches (ATS) at stations 20 and 21 are currently inoperable. Both stations, and associated original electrical equipment, were designed and built in the early 1980s. Each of the stations were designed to have two separate ComEd feeds to allow electrical redundancy in lieu of onsite generation. This was accomplished by the ATS, transferring power from one ComEd feed to another if power was lost on the respective service. Locations: Water Pumping Station 20 (Post office - 360 W. Schaumburg), 21 (Convention Center - 1701 Thoreau), Station 3 (607 Athena Court), Station 12 (325 Wise), Station 19 (2205 Primrose). This project is included in the Village of Schaumburg's FY 2025-2030 Budget CIP. As of June 3, 2025, per owner, design has been completed and is moving into construction this year for both ATS and the emergency generators. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
